Mondrian Inspired Collection
I have always loved the contemporary, vibrant, simplicity works of Piet Mondrian, who used straight lines and bold colours in his artwork. However, it wasn’t until I began arranging the pieces of glass in the kiln for my first item in the Mondrian Collection that I was reminded of an earlier influence. As a child, I played a game which involved moving differently coloured plastic shapes around to fit into a particular pattern. I had completely forgotten about it until I made my first Mondrian item. As I moved the brightly coloured pieces and heard the sound of the glass touching, I was immediately transported back to childhood. Now, I think of this game every time I create a piece for this collection.
If you would like a piece made but your colour scheme is different to the colours I have here, then please contact me so that we can discuss other options I have available. Some of this range can also be made in different sizes too
